  I am not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from. I have been to this place many, many times and have had nothing but pleasant and excellent experiences. Most of the time I am there the person behind the counter is a nice woman (who I want to say is the mother of one or both of the girls...I hope I'm not wrong on that) who takes time to answer any questions you have.
  The cupcakes are delicious! I can't have chocolate so there is a limit to what I can order there, but everything has been top notch. Others who I have been with say any of them with chocolate are really good too. I disagree with everyone who says they are overpriced. It is a specialty store, if you think your going to get a dozen for the same price as you would at the local grocery store, you're wrong. These are WAY better than the grocery store kind in every way shape and form.
  Yes, the store is on the small side. But if you look around when you get in there most of the room is taken up by the kitchen and decorating spaces. It's not like there is wasted space here.
  Summary: Great Cupcakes, really nice people, and a unique place I am sure you won't find anywhere close by. Stop in, ignore the negative reviews and give it a chance for yourself. I bet you won't be disappointed.

  These are the best cupcakes I've ever had. I had just had some gourmet cucpakes in Chicago and these were far superior. I had the chocolate chip cookie dough cupcake and it was the best. Also had the strawberry shortcake and that was fantastic as well. Everytime I go to Starved Rock I will be stopping by. YES!

  Was looking for a good cupcake and decided to try something special. From the outside it looks whimsical and fun, but the inside was crowded and claustrophobic. Since it was the first time there, it took us time to decide what cupcake to get. The clerk was so incredibly rude about having to wait for us to place our order (less than two minutes). She was abrasive and downright mean. The cupcakes were fine, nothing really special. I would never go back there due to the poor customer service.
